Serving the Pittsford Community for over 100 years
For more than 100 years the Pittsford Volunteer Fire Department has been serving our community and keeping it safe. We now respond out of two fire stations with a fleet of 3 engines, 2 quints, 1 rescue, 2 squads, an off road rescue vehicle and 3 designated chiefs cars.
We have approximately 75 members that range in age from 18-75 and have diverse backgrounds and occupations. Businessmen and owners, retirees, sales professionals, attorneys, contractors, Pharmacists, Farmers… everyone has a role in the organization, and all make up part of our team.
These dedicated volunteers respond to over 800 calls for service each year. These calls for service include emergencies such as structure fires, automatic fire and Carbon Monoxide alarms, Emergency Medical Responses, motor vehicle accidents and vehicle fires, grass fires, water rescues, hazmat situations, wires down public assists and more.
