About Us

Welcome to Pittsford Volunteer Fire Department:

The Pittsford Fire Department is an organization of men and women who volunteer their time and effort for a common goal. We have about 90 members, who collectively respond to over 1000 calls for service each year. These responses include structure fires, car accidents, automatic fire and co alarms, car fires, public assists and more. The dedicated volunteers respond out of two firehouses and staff a fleet of 2 engines, 2 quints, 1 rescue pumper, 2 squads, an off road rescue vehicle and 3 designated chiefs cars. Over the last 10 years we have seen an increase in responses over 20%. With the continued growth in the community, we estimate that these responses will continue to grow each year. With growth comes the need for additional volunteers. We are always looking for residents of the Town of Pittsford to join our membership. Our members range in age from 18 to 75 and everyone has a role in the organization. The civil line consists of a president, vice president, secretary, assistant secretary, 2 wardens, treasurer, assistant treasurer, and sergeant at arms. The line officers consist of a fire chief, 2 assistant chiefs, 2 captains and 2 lieutenants.
